If you are new to aquatic botanicals, this botanical variety pack is a great place to start! Perfect for bettas, blackwater fish, tetras, and even goldfish. These botanicals are hand-selected for their durable nature, high tannin content, and medium recruitment of biofilms to help you embrace the natural processes of botanical aquariums. This pack does a great job of mimicking the forest floor of a North American habitat for vivariums and bioactive enclosures, with all materials loved by isopods, springtails, and other clean-up crews. The twigs in the variety pack will be from alder trees, oak trees, or hazelnut trees, and the alder cones are hand-collected in Northern Washington State. Our favorite aspect of this pack is how the magnolia leaves will leave behind an intricately patterned leaf skeleton, a fascinating element of a leaf litter bed.
